How To Make A Fresh Herbs Indoor Garden This Winter Season

– Pots with built-in drainage holes
– Fresh soil acquired from a local garden center
– Gravel
– Plant markers

– Herb seedlings or plant seed packets

Here are the instructions in making your own indoor herb garden:

1. Go to your local garden store and secure all the things that you need to start your project. Make sure to secure everything that is listed above so that you can start making your indoor herb garden right away. If in case you lack any seed or seedlings, you can go to the Seed Shop online, order seeds from them and it will be delivered right at your doorstep.

2. Prepare the pots with holes and fill then up with 3/4 inch of gravel. Once filled with gravel, pour in the soil to fill all the pots completely. Once everything is set, dig a hole that is right enough for the plant or seed to fit into. Remove all the plant seedlings from the nursery and place them carefully one each of the holes that you made. Gently press the soil down to secure the position of the plant and to let it stay in place. If you are going to use seeds, fill each of the pots with soil and press down the seeds into the soil at about 1/4 of an inch.

3. Use chalkboard paint and spray it on top of the bands of each pot. Let it stay for a couple of minutes until it dries then label each of the pots with the name of the herb. You can easily wipe off the labels once you decide to transfer these plants into another place.

  • Thyme – This type of herb grows healthily once expose under the sun 6 hours a day.
  • Parsley – Parsley grows best once situated in a window facing the south with lots of sunlight.
